How does gymboree clothes fit

Pants and shorts have super tiny waist sizes, far smaller than other brands. Just got a bunch of tshirts, some 2T, some 3T - they are just awful, and inconsistently made. Most of the 2T t shirts are tight across the chest, but then really really really long - since my son has a really long torso, I cant imagine any toddler these shirts would ever fit.
