Honestly I just used bomb spam for that fight, some incenerate bombs and grapeshots made short work of the adds and then Dimitri was just a matter of patience. Eh, I guess it could be said the game wants you to remember you're just another squishy human, albeit better trained, but you shouldn't expect to just roll through groups — hence bombs etc.
